We are proud to announce that 2021 has got off to an excellent start for MOL Logistics. We have obtained the ISO 13485 certificate! This international standard for medical devices is completely in line with our logistics services. Certified manufacturers, suppliers and logistics service providers demonstrate that they meet the strict requirements of the industry.
Within the healthcare sector, the demand for partners who offer high-quality logistics services is increasing. MOL Logistics has various relationships that are active in healthcare, whom we have been supporting with their logistics activities for many years. As a result, we already worked according to a number of requirements from ISO 13485, to the satisfaction of these relations. This motivated us to go for the official certification. With support from SQA-T, we started all preparations in 2020. In November 2020 we’ve had a successful pre-audit, after which Bureau Veritas conducted the official certification audit in December. We have now received the official ISO 13485 certificate, which we will be proud to use for the next 3 years.
At the same time, the re-certification of ISO 9001: 2015 took place, a certification that we have again achieved. A word of thanks goes to our colleagues from MOL Logistics (Netherlands) BV and of course Bureau Veritas.
These two important quality certifications enable us to serve our current and future customers even more professionally.
What is an ISO 13485 certification?
Through the ISO 13485 certification, a company or organization demonstrates that it meets the highest requirements in the field of medical devices. This applies to all certified parties in the supply chain, including manufacturers, suppliers, installers and logistics service providers such as MOL Logistics. An independent and expert certification body must issue the certificate. Just like with our ISO 9001 certification, we also relied on Bureau Veritas this time.
