History: from transport company to international logistic service provider.

MOL Logistics’ history started in the early 20th century. The Dutch company was founded in 1919 as Wassing BV, a genuine Tilburg transport company. After the start the company grows significantly and expands its range of products and services.

100 Years of history

In 1990 the family business attracts the attention of the Japan based Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, who decided to take over the company. It lasts until the turn of the century before Wassing BV changes its name into MOL Logistics (Netherlands) BV. After the year 2000 MOL Logistics keeps continuing to innovate in order to develop and fullfill the demand of their customers, as a full subsidary of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines. Untill now innovation is one of our mayor priorities.

Registration as an official IATA-agent, Wassing BV offers their customers airfreight services

1965

Sea freight is added to the service package

1984

The company expands and provides total logistic solutions to their customers

1990

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines takes over Wassing BV, the name Wassing BV remains

1996

The company acquires a licence to handle and store hazardous goods

2000

Wassing BV changes her name to MOL Logistics (Netherlands) BV

2003

MOL Logistics (Netherlands) BV acquires the ISO-9001:2000 certificate
\

2006

The company acquires the ISO/TS-16949 certificate and still maintains these standards

2007

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines introduces a new logo

2008

MOL Logistics (Netherlands) BV obtains the AEO Customs and Security certificate
\

2009

MOL Logistics (Netherlands) BV expands with an additional warehouse
\

2010

Schiphol office moves to a location situated at the platform
\

2012

Office Schiphol moves to a location directly near our most important ground handler
\

2014

Specialized Customer Service teams support our customers

2017

In the warehouse we set up a special section for medical devices and healthcare
\

2017

MOL Logistics air freight department gets a central location at Schiphol
\

2018

MOL Logistics (Netherlands) BV acquires the ISO-9001:2015 certificate
